Ableton are a music software company who have provided possibly the most groundbreaking and instantly recognisably music production software packages to date. Used by artists across the globe in studios and live arenas to tour buses and bedrooms. Founded in 1999 by three likeminded musical and technical individuals who set up shop in Berlin and have gone on to employ musicians producers and DJ’s to grow their line-up of award winning products to ensure that they represent the very people who use Ableton Live and Ableton Push in the real world.
Ableton Live software is now the go to music software platform for thousands of musicians, DJ’s and live performers. Having been revolutionary in its layout it moved away from standard linear workflows and emphasised its ethos on creativity, ease of use and incredible workflow. Coupled with premium synths effects and sound packs it meant that everything you need to make a great track is included and only moments from your fingertips.
Knowing that a hands on experience is vital to so many in the process of being creative, Ableton made the announcement in 2012 they would release there first piece of hardware called Push. Billed as an instrument it bids to solve the problem of being an all in one tactile interface to controlling all the elements of live and creating every part of musical content without a mouse or keyboard. With ingenious methods of playing, sequencing and editing it is now the only piece of hardware and Ableton user needs.
