Pioneer DJ Announce Entry Level Mixer
Pioneer DJ have revealed details of the DJM-250MK2, an update to the incredibly popular DJM-250, which features a host of features inherited from the DJM-900NXS2 with a retail price of just £299.
While the original 250 was a success, it was discontinued just over eighteen months ago due to a lack of component availability – since then the DJM-900NXS2 and DJM-450 have been announced and it’s clear to see the lineage forming between the new DJMs. Sound Colour FX are now a feature throughout the line as is the highly durable and accurate Magvel crossfader.
The DJM-250MK2 also features a built-in soundcard, which provides rekordbox DVS capability as well as the option to record mixes using either a MAC or PC, the entry-level mixer also boasts 3 band isolator EQ on each channel. While there are cheaper 2 channel mixers on the market the 250 really does offer great value for money when you factor the price of the included rekordbox plus packs into the retail price.
Competition wise the closest equivalent we can think of is the Allen & Heath Xone 23C which also features a built-in soundcard and filters but this is lacking the rekordbox support.
The Pioneer DJM-250MK2 is due to ship in March 2017 – be sure to pre-order to avoid disappointment.
